Chiron Panacea Vaccines Private Limited is a 50:50 Joint Venture between Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics Holding Srl, Italy (erstwhile Chiron Vaccines Holding Srl, Italy) and Panacea Biotec Limited. The Company was incorporated in July 2004.

Chiron Panacea Vaccines (CPV), focuses on providing new breakthrough pediatric vaccines in India. This strategic alliance of Novartis Vaccines and Panacea Biotec has provided India with a key competitive advantage in providing new generation, innovative, fully liquid pediatric combination vaccines to help prevent life threatening infectious diseases.

USP of Combinations Vaccines and Chiron Panacea Vaccines: During the first year of life, an infant is immunized with a number of vaccines, many of which become due around the same time. Combination Vaccines simplify the process and reduce the number of injections. Thus these combination vaccines have a significant impact in redefining the way vaccines are administered and used. The new concept of the fully liquid combination vaccine has brought a new perspective to vaccine administration offering convenience, safety and precise dosing.

Chiron Panacea Vaccines is the first company to develop the breakthrough fully liquid pentavalent combination vaccine, which protect against five potentially life threatening infectious diseases: Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Hepatitis B and Haemophilus influenza type b. This has redefined the way vaccines are currently used and administered. The breakthrough concept of 'Easy Vaccination' has made vaccine usage easy for children, parents and doctors.
