PolProtec is a unique, enhanced Injectable Polio Vaccine (eIPV). PolProtec is available in a unique syringe that facilitates smooth vaccination thereby causing less pain to the baby. It is the only eIPV with a ‘Phenol Red’ pH indicator that ensures stringent quality checks. It is also the only IPV with a ‘peel off label’ that provides information on brand name, batch no, manufacturing and expiry dates, etc. that can be pasted on your baby’s immunization file for future reference.
In addition to Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV), the India Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) recommends the use of IPV. The IAP also recommends IPV to be given to all babies until the age of five, in spite of the completion of the OPV doses.
